Baby blanket for a little boy

In November I had the great pleasure of giving this baby blanket to a good friend of mine who had just welcomed her little son, Miles, to the world. 

The pattern is simply one big granny square and the yarn I used is a soft alpaca yarn by Drops, called Drops Alpaca. I used a 3,5 mm hook and just kept going until I thought the blanket was big enough. It measures app. 75 x 75 cm - I have to say - this being the first baby blanket I have ever made - I wasn't sure how big or small to make it - but I hope that it is big enough to be useful - and at the same time small enough so that it can also be used in the pram without being too bulky.
